A Few Main Points about Bark for MISD Parents:
- Parents Opt-In: Parents will fill out the Parent Portal Request form to opt-in to receive Bark alerts.
- Monitoring: Bark only monitors student MISD school accounts and will send alerts to parents for potential issues, similar to GoGuardian.
- Alerts: Parents will only receive alerts from Bark during after-school hours and the weekends when students aren't in our care.
- Support: Implementing Bark for Schools will give our admin team and counselors one more resource to share with parents when they have to call them regarding their child's online activity.
- Additional Services: While Bark only monitors our school account for free, parents are offered a discount to purchase their full parental controls.
