About Lone Star Honor Flight
Lone Star Honor Flight is a Montgomery County community effort to send all WWII veterans to Washington, DC to see the WWII Memorial. Nationally, there are 3,000,000 survivors and we are losing them at the rate of 1,200 to 1,500 per day. Montgomery County is the home to 2,500 – 3,000 of these brave men and women. Time is of the essence.
Through the efforts of many volunteers along with donations and fundraisers held throughout MISD and Montgomery County, coupled with the work of teachers, staff, and students from Montgomery Junior High School, the idea has become a reality.
